National Rural & Remote Healthcare Conference

Date posted:

The NSW Ombudsman will be at the National Rural & Remote Healthcare Conference in Eora/Sydney next month.

This event brings together leaders from across Australia who are committed to improving health outcomes for rural and remote communities. At a time when services are under increasing pressure, this conference provides a dedicated forum to share practical strategies that support safe, sustainable, and equitable care delivery.

Across the program, there is a focus on the issues shaping the sector today, from workforce attraction and retention to digital health enablement, service accessibility, funding models, and the delivery of culturally safe care. Importantly, the program explores how to better integrate services across primary, community, and acute settings to meet the complex needs of regional and remote populations.

  • Date: 5-7 August 2026
